Sand Driving on Stockton Beach
Went 4WDing, and camping, on Stockton Beach over the Australia Day Long Weekend. The weather & camping were terrible… from unbearably hot, to wet, cold and what felt like gale force winds…. BUT the driving down some of those sand hills was downright exhilarating ( and just a touch 😉 scary!!!!)
So we had a good time, and the others on the trip were good company
New Year and Back to Koolandilly
Managed to stay at home over Christmas & New Year, Which is a first for about the last 6 or 7 years! Then headed off down to Koolandilly, on the Wollondilly River. Although we had some very hot weather, the river made it very refreshing!
Flew Up to Qld for Kylie’s Nan’s 80th Birthday!
Pictures
We flew up to Queensland, for Kylie’s Nan’s 80th Birthday, it was a surprise visit! We stayed for a few (5) days, and even managed to pick some strawberries at a strawberry farm, near Kylie’s parents in Caloundra.
It was our first look at their new home… it’s very nice and Brendan enjoyed the pool, and the chance to see & play with all his cousins!
Kylie’s Photo Entry
This is Kylie’s entry in a Travel Photo competition, it was taken in June 2005 in Sapa Vietnam, whilst walking down to the falls
Another Weekend… Another…

Dubbo & the Western Plains Zoo
Easter 2008. Note to self… Book earlier than 1 week before to get camp sites in Easter.
The closest to Dubbo we could get was Wellington ( about 35km) which turned out to be a very nice caravan park , complete with Caves, Fossils and prehistoric wombats!
The Western plains zoo was good, too!
Back to Koolandilly

Stayed for about 5 days, and I really like this place
Took the Kayaks up, and played about in the rapids
Saw some goannas having a tussle, and quite a few water dragons along the river banks
Was very hot, so the water was quite welcomiong
Snowy & Helen from TLCC were there, and Brendan kept them quite occupied!
